Developed over 10 years, Christianity Explored is an informal course for people who’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics.
It explores who Jesus was, what his aims were, and what it means to follow him.
You won’t be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen.
Christianity Explored has been around for over a decade now, and it’s been designed to suit different age ranges and people.
What goes on?
Each evening starts with a meal at 7:00pm, so don’t worry if you have to come straight from work.
The course is normally run in several groups of 6-9 people, and after briefly discussing the course material from the week before, there is a DVD on the theme of the week.
The groups then discuss any questions that have arisen, and the evening ends at 9:00pm. Of course, if you’d like, you’re welcome to stick around a bit longer for a coffee to discuss any further issues you might have.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, all course materials are provided.
Do I have to speak in the group?
Not if you don’t want to. You are welcome to come and just sit and listen.
Is it ‘churchy’?
We hope not. It’s not a church service. There’s no praying, singing or clapping, and you won’t be asked to read aloud.
Why is the course run?
Christians count it as a real privilege to explain the truth and relevance of the Christian message. We don’t have all the answers but believe that we have exciting news to share about Jesus Christ.
Will it cost me anything?
No. For more information about the course, look at the Christianity Explored website, where you can watch a video trailer
When is the next course at Bryn Baptist Church?
The dates of the next course will be published on the Church Diary page. If you wish we can send you an email of the dates, once finalised. Just fill in the appropriate boxes in the Enquiry form on the Contact Us page.
